Montreal, Quebec is approximately a 20 minute drive from Dorval airport and 45 minute drive from Mirabel airport. A cab fare from Dorval airport to the city centre is set at a flat rate of $28. Alternatively, a bus is also available from the airports direct to the train station located at the city centre. From Dorval airport a one way ticket costs $11 and a round-trip is $19.75. For Mirabel, a one way ticket costs $20 and a round-trip costs $30.

The official hotel for Symposium participants is The Clarion Hotel & Suites located within walking distance to the symposium site. Symposium attendees can book rooms at the hotel and receive the reduced rate of $89 and $105 per night by identifying themselves as DECLARATIONS attendees.

Alternatively, listed below are other hotels and a youth hostel in the vicinity where you can book a room individually. Please make sure to book your room early. The room blocks will be released one month before the symposium, and there is no guarantee of getting the symposium rate. Although the symposium falls at the end of the high season, Montreal is a popular destination and hotels fill up.

From Dorval Airport:
• Take Highway 20 East and follow directions for "Centre-Ville"
   (Downtown)
• Take the Ville-Marie Expressway (720 East)
• Exit the Ville-Marie at Guy and turn right on René-Lévesque
• Go west on René-Lévesque and turn left on Bishop Street
• Go north on Bishop two blocks to de Maisonneuve

From Mirabel Airport:
• Take Highway 15 South to Highway 40 westbound
• Take the 40 to Décarie
• Take Décarie South and follow the directions for "Centre-Ville"
   (Downtown) via the Ville-Marie Expressway (720 East)
• Exit the Ville-Marie at Guy and turn right on René-Lévesque
• Go west on René-Lévesque and turn left on Bishop Street
• Go north on Bishop two blocks to de Maisonneuve

Directions from Toronto:
• Take Highway 401 East
• Once you reach the province of Quebec, Highway 401 East becomes
   Highway 20 East
• From Highway 20 East, take Highway 720 East (Ville-Marie Expressway)

• From Ottawa, take Highway 417 East

• Entering the tunnel you will see an exit for University Street
• Take the exit at the lights, continue North until you reach René-Lévesque
• Turn left on René-Lévesque and go west to Bishop Street
• Turn right on Bishop and go north for two blocks to de Maisonneuve

Directions from Boston (Vermont):
• Take Interstate 89 or Route 91 North to the Canadian border
• Once in Canada, follow signs for Highway 55 North and Highway 10
   West
• Look for signs to Champlain Bridge
• Cross Over Champlain Bridge
• Follow signs for University Street
• Once on University Street, remain on it until you reach René-Lévesque
• Turn left on René-Lévesque and go west to Bishop Street
• Turn right on Bishop and go north for two blocks to de Maisonneuve

Directions from New-York:
• Take Interstate 87 North to the Canadian border
• Once in Canada, follow signs for Highway 15 North
• From Highway 15 North, take Highway 720 East
